The RVC Studio by EnjoySamples is an experimental service that allows you to apply an RVC model to an audio source using the open-source project Applio.
Each model is trained from timbral analysis of solo instruments based on recording sessions by Enjoy Samples and Pierre-Emmanuel Desfray (It, The Mystery Esmeralda, Azzmeta).
In practical terms, the tool performs a spectral timbre transfer: it preserves the original performance, phrasing, and musical intention, while replacing the timbre. For example, a sung melodic line can be processed with a "Violin" model and will take on the spectral timbre of a violin, without being reinterpreted.
It is important to understand that although RVC technology has existed for several years, it remains a tool with limitations. Artifacts may appear in the extreme high or low registers. Certain playing techniques or special articulations cannot be reproduced if they were not included in the training data.
Input quality is essential: a monophonic, dry (no reverb) source within a tessitura close to the target model will produce better results. Transposition may sometimes be necessary. For MIDI-to-audio conversion, simple sounds (such as General MIDI tones, sine waves, or basic synth patches) are recommended.
⚠️ This service is not a "magic" solution that instantly delivers a Hollywood sound. It is a transformation tool that requires additional work inside your DAW. It is not recommended for beginners and is primarily intended for users with audio experience.
